I’m a serious writer.
I swear.
Becoming an ad guy took me a while. I started as a professional fish-out-of-water at a bank. I then moved to sales where I sold chips out of the back of a truck. After that I worked at a friend’s start-up as a pseudo strat/accounts person.
I finally started in advertising at Dentsu Philippines working on international accounts such as Toyota, Nestea, Uniqlo, Pocky, Axe, and Emirates. Things really started to pick up when I moved to Wunderman Thompson Philippines where I worked on Globe Telecom, Bayer, Netflix, and a whole mess of pitches.
I got a bronze in Cannes Young Lions Digital competition, a gold in Ad Stars Young Creative competition, a Star Wars TVC that was named one of the strongest brand ideas of 2019 by Ad Week, several local awards, and a couple of major business wins
The future will be driven by tech and guided by culture and I want to be in the frontline when that happens.
I am deep enough to make sense but dumb enough to be different. Coming from a completely different background, I can add a new perspective to any team. I get along with weirdos and I’m a fun drunk.
